The AD-2500IEC and all ACUPWR voltage transformers are manufactured in the USA with premium components that include copper wiring and silicon steel cores. All of our transformers are assembled by hand, and bench-tested well beyond their stated wattage to ensure safety, reliability, and years of service.
Goes Above Stated Wattage If Needed!
The ACUPWR AD-2500IEC will operate at 120-percent beyond its stated wattage IF NECESSARY, such as in the event of a power surge or inrush voltage. In such an instance, It’s nice to know that that wattage “cushion” is there. Please note that we don’t recommend using an appliance with wattage requirement that is beyond what’s stated on the transformer. (Doing so can void the warranty.)
Thermal Protection
The ACUPWR AD-2500IEC uses a thermal protection circuit instead of fuses. This circuit detects excessive heat caused by an overload. The circuit automatically turns off the transformer and restarts the unit when it has returned to normal operating temperature.

Plug Shapes Not a Problem!
The AD-2500IEC voltage transformer comes with a Type F Schuko plug (common throughout Europe and other 220-240-volt regions) and a Type B (NEMA 5-15R) receptacle/output. Nonetheless, many other plug shapes are also used in 220-240-volt countries. Is this a problem? Absolutely not! ACUPWR manufactures plug adapters that can convert the Type F Schuko plug to a different plug shape for compatibility with wall outlets throughout the world.
