Watch the video above to see for yourself why ACUPWR transformers are the world's safest, most energy efficient, and most reliable!

ACUPWR’s Tru-Watts™ AD-150 CTOC model is a UL-approved step down voltage transformer rated for loads up to 150 watts/volt amps. It converts AC from 220-240 volts to 110-120 volts, thereby allowing appliances and electronic devices that require 110-120 volts to operate in countries that use a 220-240-volt standard. The transformer’s output is a Type B-compatible (NEMA 5-15R) receptacle that accepts USA and Canada plugs. Power input comes via an IEC C13 receptacle (commonly used in consumer electronics items) and a compatible C14 13-amp power cord plug with the plug type of your choice.

ACUPWR offers IEC power cords with the following plug types:
Type F Schuko plug (used throughout Europe, Asia, South America, the Middle East, Africa);
Type M plug (South Africa),
Type G fused BS-1363 plug (United Kingdom),
Type B plug (Philippines, Peru),
Type I plug (Australia, New Zealand),
Type J plug (Switzerland),
Type D plug (India),
Type H plug (Israel),
Type L plug (Italy and Chile), and
Type K plug (Denmark).

Customers chose their desired power cord using the options on this page. If you’re unsure of the plug shape in the country you’ll be using the transformer in, please refer to our plug chart.

Why You’ll Love It…

American-Made Quality

The AD-150 CTOC and all ACUPWR voltage transformers are manufactured in the USA with premium components that include copper wiring and silicon steel cores. All of our products are assembled by hand and bench-tested well beyond their stated wattage to ensure safety, reliability, and years of service.

UL Approved

The AD-150 CTOC has been evaluated and approved by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) for compliance with IEC publication 989, (reference number E479623).

Tru-Watts™ Power means "No Two-Times the Wattage" Rule

ACUPWR Tru-Watts™ voltage transformers are guaranteed to deliver electricity at and beyond their stated wattage capability. You would think this isn’t a big deal, but compare ACUPWR transformers with our foreign-made competition: they recommend that you buy transformer with twice or even three times the wattage capability--a rule of thumb commonly known as the "Two-Times the Wattage" rule--because their transformers are famous for breaking with loads that are well under their stated wattage, and also catching on fire and overheating (see our video above). With Tru-Watts™, offered only by ACUPWR, you only need to buy the transformer that offers the wattage capability required by your appliances.

Thermal Protection Sensor

The key to our Tru-Watts™ capability is our proprietary thermal protection sensor. This feature serves as an overload breaker by detecting excessive heat caused by a wattage or voltage overload, and consequently turning the transformer off. The unit returns to operation when the overheating dissipates (approximately 30 minutes). Because of this

Our thermal protection sensor makes ACUPWR the safest alternative to our competition's overload protection, which relies on an ordinary glass cartridge fuse that, as the above video demonstrates, often does not blow when their transformer is overloaded. Definitely unsafe!

Lifetime Warranty and Customer Support

ACUPWR products come with a lifetime warranty, up to $10,000 of damage protection, and ongoing customer support.

Why You’ll Love It

American-Made Quality

The AD-100 and all ACUPWR voltage transformers are manufactured in the USA with premium components that include copper wiring and silicon steel cores. All of our products are assembled by hand and bench-tested well beyond their stated wattage to ensure safety, reliability, and years of service.

No Two-Times-the-Wattage Rule!

With ACUPWR voltage transformers, there’s no need to buy a transformer with more wattage capability than you need. Our products work continuously as stated in their wattage. Unbelievably, you can’t do this with our competitors; the rule of thumb when buying a foreign-manufactured voltage transformer is to buy two-times the wattage you actually need. Therefore, if your microwave requires 500 watts, our competitors will suggest buying 1000 watts. Why? Because the transformer they actually label as “500 Watts” will stop working well before it reaches its wattage limit due to poor construction and quality. With ACUPWR, you can buy what you need!

Thermal Protection

The ACUPWR AD-100 uses a thermal protection circuit that detects excessive heat caused by an overload. The circuit automatically turns off the transformer and restarts the unit when it has returned to normal operating temperature.

Lifetime Warranty and Customer Support

The AD-100 and all ACUPWR products come with a lifetime warranty and continuous customer support. We encourage our customers to contact us with any concerns or questions about our products. Our response is timely, courteous, and supportive.

Use 110-120-volt Appliances in 220-240-volt Countries

If you’ve been living in a country where the voltage standard is 110-120 volts, the ACUPWR AD-100IEC will let you use your electrical devices and appliances in places like Europe, Asia, South America, Australia, Africa, and anyplace with a 220-240-volt electrical standard.

All of our products are assembled by hand, and bench-tested well beyond their stated wattage to ensure safety, reliability, and years of service.

Goes Above (and Beyond!) Stated Wattage

The ACUPWR AD-100IEC will operate at 120-percent beyond its stated wattage, and even up to 200-percent for a short period. This ability means that you’ll never have to buy a voltage transformer that is larger than the wattage requirement you need to prevent overload (just like our foreign-made competition).

Plug Shapes Not a Problem!

The AD-100 voltage transformer comes with an IEC C13 power cord receptacle commonly used in consumer electronics such as desktop computers, TV and computer monitors, musical instrument amplifiers, and much more. This receptacle allows for use of a 15-amp IEC power cord with a choice of Type M, Type G (fused), Type F Schuko, Type B, Type I, and Type J plugs, allowing the AD-100IEC to be used in most 220-240-volt countries.

Versatility and Dependability

ACUPWR’s AD-100 and all of our voltage transformer models can be used in any interior setting and environment, whether it’s your bedroom, a garage, a manufacturing space… wherever. They’re built like tanks and can handle dust, heat, and moisture, and they’ll keep chugging along—quietly!—under heavy duress.

Additionally…

ACUPWR voltage transformers are trusted by the military, NASA, worldwide government agencies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), medical professionals, researchers, professional entertainment companies, and business professionals.
