The ACUPWR ADUW-2000 will operate at 20-percent beyond its stated wattage IF NECESSARY, such as in the event of a power surge or inrush voltage. In such an instance, It’s nice to know that that wattage “cushion” is there. Please note that we don’t recommend using an appliance with wattage requirement that is beyond what’s stated on the transformer. (Doing so can void the warranty.) Hard-wire Installation The ACUPWR ADUW-2000 installs via flywire (bare wiring) accessible through its knock-out box design.
