Goes Above Stated Wattage If Needed!
The ACUPWR AU-2000 will operate at 120-percent beyond its stated wattage IF NECESSARY, such as in the event of a power surge or inrush voltage. In such an instance, It’s nice to know that that wattage “cushion” is there. Please note that we don’t recommend using an appliance with wattage requirement that is beyond what’s stated on the transformer. (Doing so can void the warranty.)
Thermal Protection
The ACUPWR AU-2000 uses a thermal protection circuit instead of fuses. This circuit detects excessive heat caused by an overload. The circuit automatically turns off the transformer and restarts the unit when it has returned to normal operating temperature.

Plug Shapes Not a Problem!
The AU-2000 voltage transformer comes with a Type B (NEMA 5-15P) plug and a Type F Schuko receptacle/output. The Type F Schuko is common throughout Europe and other 220/240-volt countries, yet many other plug shapes are also used in 220-240-volt countries. Nonetheless, nearly all 220-240-volt appliances and electrical devices have a unique plug that correlates with the country they’re designed to be used in. Is this a problem? Absolutely not! ACUPWR manufactures plug adapters that can turn any plug type (there are more than a dozen) into a Type F plug.
