ACUPWR’s AU models are step up transformer that convert voltage from 110-120 volts to 220-240 volts, thereby allowing appliances and electronic devices that require 220-240 volts to operate in the USA and Canada. AU models under 500 watts come with a Type B plug and a Type B (NEMA 5-15R) receptacle; Models that are 500 watts and greater come with a Type F Schuko receptacle.

Why You’ll Love It…
American-Made Quality
The AU models and all ACUPWR voltage transformers are manufactured in the USA with premium components that include copper wiring and silicon steel cores. All of our products are assembled by hand and bench-tested well beyond their stated wattage to ensure safety, reliability, and years of service.
No Two-Times-the-Wattage Rule!
With ACUPWR voltage transformers, there’s no need to buy a transformer with more wattage capability than you need. Our products work continuously at their stated wattage. Believe it or not, you can’t do this with our competition; the rule of thumb when buying a foreign-manufactured voltage transformer is to buy two-times the wattage you actually need. So if your microwave requires 500 watts, our competition will suggest buying 1000 watts. Why? Because the transformer they actually label as “500 Watts” will stop working well before it reaches its wattage limit due to poor construction and quality. With ACUPWR you can buy what you need!
Thermal Protection
ACUPWR AU models use a thermal protection circuit that detects excessive heat caused by an overload. The circuit automatically turns off the transformer and restarts the unit when it has returned to normal operating temperature.
Lifetime Warranty and Customer Support
The AU models and all ACUPWR transformer products come with a lifetime warranty and continuous customer support. We encourage our customers to contact us with any concerns or questions about our products. Our response is timely, courteous, and supportive.

Goes Above Stated Wattage If Needed!
The AU model operate at 20-percent beyond its stated wattage IF NECESSARY, such as in the event of a power surge or inrush voltage. In such an instance, It’s nice to know that that wattage “cushion” is there. Please note that we don’t recommend using an appliance with wattage requirement that is beyond what’s stated on the transformer. (Doing so can void the warranty.)

Plug Shapes Not a Problem!
The AU series voltage transformers come with a Type B (NEMA 5-15P) plug and a Type B (NEMA 5-15R) receptacle/output for models under 500 watts, and a Type F Schuko outlet on models that are 500 watts and greater. Nonetheless, many countries throughout the world have a particular plug shape common in their country. This is hardly a problem; ACUPWR manufactures plug adapters that can turn any plug type (there are more than a dozen) into a Type B or Type F plug compatible with the AU transformer.
Versatility and Dependability
ACUPWR’s AU models and all of our voltage transformer models can be used in any interior setting and environment, whether it’s your bedroom, a garage, a manufacturing space… wherever. They’re built like tanks and can handle dust, heat, and moisture, and they’ll keep chugging along—quietly!—under heavy duress.
